
Fire Deaths In Washington County now at 5
Good Afternoon,
I am sure by now you have read the news that 3 more lives were lost last night in a house fire. Maugansville Firefighters assisted Hagerstown and many other surrounding fire companies with the fire. Now all that’s left is dealing with the tragedy of lives lost and caring for those left behind. The fire death total in Washington County is now 5 with many more grieving family members left behind. Besides the toll on families it takes a toll on firefighters.
The Maugansville Fire Prevention Committee would like you to get up and check your smoke detectors. Be sure this life saving device is working. Don’t let you family behind to grieve.
While up, check your home for frayed cords, overloaded circuits, items near your stove or portable heaters.
We need to turn the corner and stop this loss of life that’s happening.
Take a moment hug your child and make sure they know what to do in case of a fire in your home. Remember get out and stay out.
