Remembrance in the Park was held on September 12,2023 at the Hagerstown City Park.  This is a memorial that pays tribute to our service members, emergency responders and law enforcement, but above all we remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect the citizens.

The Washington County Sheriffs Department, Hagerstown City Police and  Maryland Corrections were the Honor Guards, music was played by the Barbara Ingram School of the Arts Band, Prayers of Remembrance were given by Chaplain Grove (Engine 2), a tree dedication in memory of Harold Semler, a wreath ceremony  at the World Trade Center beam and Walk of Honor accompanied by the playing of bagpipes and a Bell Toll for those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.  In closing Taps was played and the benediction was given by Chaplain Mazzola (Company 27).
