Team 13 assisted with multiple acre fire in Clear Spring
Maugansville firefighters assisted multiple engine companies, brush units, ATV’S , gators and EMS units to try to contain a multiple acre fire at Blair’s Valley. The crews worked for several hours, making their way through heavily wooded, rocky terrain and cutting in fire lines. Unfortunately, the crews were unable to have the fire contained before darkness set in and had to come off the mountain. The DNR, Forestry Wildland Firefighters and the Frederick County Wildland team would continue to monitor throughout the night.
